Gift Highlight: Air Jordan 4's

By Savanna Lattanzi | December 19th, 2022

Air Jordan 4s are a strong choice for shoes on and off the court. Originally released in 1989, there are countless AJ4 colorways to choose from. Considering Air Jordan 4s for a gift for family or friends? Here are some of your best options:

AJ4 “Military Black” released earlier this year in May and was an instant success. The iconic monochromatic palette matches any article of clothing and draws attention even without flashy color. Light gray suede and black eyelets offer optimum contrast for a sleek choice. Altogether, the versatility of this shoe makes it a top choice for a gift this holiday season.

Grayscale with red flashes, Air Jordan 4 “Infrared” dropped halfway through the year. This colorway mimics the color blocking of the 2013 “Green Glow”, but with a red twist. Simple and effective, “Infrared”s are a strong gift choice this holiday season.

This electric yellow Air Jordan 4 first released as an online exclusive in 2006, and might just be the brightest Jordan of the year. A statement sneaker, the “Lightning” matches a bold personality. This year, consider gifting AJ4 “Lightning”s to your friend with next-level sneaker game and clothes to match.

For a darker base with splashes of color, you might also consider picking up the “Red Thunder” colorway for your friends and family who shy away from white shoes. Similar to the “Thunder” colorway (Ie. thunder… but red!), “Red Thunder” features bright color blocking on a black suede background. Still less than a year old, this colorway still has all the flash of a new release.

With color splashes akin to the original “Fire Red” colorway, the “White Midnight Navy” features a speckled midsole and navy blue accents. “White Midnight Navy” is a more neutral option for AJ4s while still including the signature mesh and straps. A clean white look is the name of the game with this October release.
