Green as a Grinch for the Holidays

Every year, the Jordan brand offers new red holiday releases. But at Bullseye, we’re celebrating red year round. Need a wider range of choices for your merry and bright kicks? Here are some top red releases of the year-- from crimson to maroon.
Air Jordan 4 SE Craft “Olive”
Starting us off, the newest canvas-constructed Jordan 4 will release tomorrow and feature-- you guessed it-- olive green. If you can rock a Jordan 4, this is my top choice for a holiday green shoe. Besides being a flashy new release, this mixed construction shoe is visually interesting yet subtle. It features shades of olive and black and gray accents. The brighter features are a creamy midsole and clean white jumpman on the tongue. Black colors many of the structural elements of the shoe. Look out for this one to drop on Bullseye website soon.
Nike Kobe 6 Protro Grinch
I definitely cheated a little bit on this one because its most release was way back in 2020, but no list of green holiday shoes could miss the Kobe 6 Protro “Grinch”. I mean, “Grinch” is in the name! This electric green shoe is a vibrant and graphic choice for the holiday season, especially if you’re going for a more athletic vibe. Christmas day basketball or football game maybe?
If you’re lucky enough to already have a pair of these guys, we’re expecting their red counterpart (“Reverse Grinch”, of course) to drop on December 16th. If you’re looking to build a collection, check back in for those as well.
Air Jordan 4 “Seafoam/Oil Green”
Another Jordan 4 option, way back in February the Air Jordan “Seafoam” released, also playing on olive green. The construction of the shoe includes white leather and the AJ4 signature mesh. Both of these white features provide a neutral base for the other pigmented sections. Dark ash aspects also support the seafoam accents. The green is present notably in the plastic features of the shoe, as well as other fabric-based sections of the shoe. The silhouette of the Jumpman can be found on the tongue and heel of the shoe in Seafoam. The sneaker’s sole also incorporates neutral gray sections.
Zoom Vomero 5 “Sequoia” and Zoom Vomero 5 “Light Bone/Medium Olive”
Here’s a two-for-one if you like the retro Zoom Vomero 5 aesthetic. The early October green Vomero releases would make a comfortable relaxed option for a cozy holiday gathering. Looking for a darker choice? The Sequoia is the colorway for you. Bathed in deep olive tones, the Zoom Vomero 5 “Sequoia” is a neutral but exciting choice for sneakerheads. The silhouette is colored with dark green and supported by black and grey tones. The classic “Sail” midsole also breaks up the darkness of the rest of the shoe. As per usual, the Vomero 5 is constructed with mesh, nylon, suede, leather, and synthetic materials, making it one of the most visually interesting shoes out there.
A lighter option, the “Light Bone/Medium Olive” incorporates green more subtly. Largely composed of light bone coloring throughout its construction, the shoe also has several accents, the most notably being medium olive. The sole, tongue, swoosh, and inner construction incorporate this green hue. Tonal shades are also used to support these main two color choices. In all, this iteration is an airier neutral option for those opposed to the darker offerings. But, if you can’t decide, no harm in grabbing one of each!
